Missionary Outreach Project
As a new member of the Chamber of Commerce and one of the oldest Non Profit Organizations in West Sacramento, we would like to greet you! We appreciate this opportunity to partner with you to positively influence our community.
Word to Russia has been serving since 1972 and during this long tenure we have been affiliated with many different organizations such as “Focus on the Family” with Dr. Dobson. In the beginning we focused on Good News Radio broadcasting over the Iron Curtain to the people of the Former Soviet Union. Now as Slavic people immigrated to America, including some 10% of West Sacramento residents, we have expanded our outreach locally, including:
- Seven
Music Teachers from Word to Russia Music Department providing free music lessons for children in West Sacramento. These lessons open to children a beautiful music world and help parents keep kids of the street
- Educational and Edifying Programs broadcast each week on Radio KJAY 1430 AM in Sacramento & Yolo Counties.
- Our original Educational Programs for Children songs and music are all available on CD & DVD and 24/7 worldwide on internet. You can visit us at www.detskoeradio.org
- With volunteers from “Limitless Love” we support families of children with special needs. Last meeting had about 90 participants.
- Every week we visit “Golden Days” Adult Day Care Center in West Sacramento. Elderly neighbors need support and attention.
Over the years, we have also built strong connections with a number of countries including Ukraine, Russia, Uzbekistan, and Israel. We would like to warmly invite you to partner with us in any of our outreach projects. If you are interested in traveling and serving abroad, we would be happy to assist you with arrangements.
