Who we Are...

Our Mission & Values

WTR was founded in 1972 by Dr. Kenneth E. Romanoff and Pastor Alex Yefimov. It is a non-profit organization incorporated in the State of California. WTR is supported solely by gifts from the public. These gifts are tax deductible in the United States.

Our Vision: to send the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ to the peoples of the Former Soviet Union (FSU) wherever they may reside, thereby fulfilling the command to go into the world and preach the Gospel.

Michael Lokteff, President of the mission “Word to Russian” receiving California Senate recognition at the Annual Russian-Speaking Community Partners Capitol Reception by Council for Cross Cultural Affairs.  Word to Russia celebrates 45 years of service with thousands of lives they touched along the way. Award presented Principal of Community Outreach Academy.
