VALUE YOUR TIME

Vladimir Mysin • Dec 25, 2020

“… but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.” (Hebrew 10:25)

Like a fast train, the world is flying towards its end, quickly filling up its cup of iniquity, while the wheels of time are inexorably passing the last landmarks of Scripture that loudly tell us about the imminent coming of the Lord. Right before our eyes, the forces of darkness are operating on earth as openly as never before, dragging the world to the scaffold of God’s judgments. These facts should encourage Christians to make every effort to save at least a few.

Eternal Love, peace and rest from work await us in the Kingdom of Heaven, but we won’t be able to preach the Gospel there. This is a privilege of earthly life, and today our world needs it more than ever before. If salvation could automatically come into people’s lives, if for the salvation of the whole world God had only needed to send His son to die on the cross, this problem would already have been solved two thousand years ago. And then there would have been no reason for Jesus to instruct His disciples to go and preach the Gospel to all creation. But the Gospel doesn’t work by itself. It must be carried into the world and preached.

“You who call on the Lord, give yourselves no rest…” (Isaiah 62:6) – the prophet cries out from the pages of Scripture. These words are as relevant today as they ever were. May the Lord grant us to put them into our hearts, for “the harvest is plentiful but the workers are few.”

May the Lord reward you with treasures that are not scarce in His Kingdom for your diligence, prayers and care for His field that you show by serving our Mission.
