INCREASING FRUIT

Vladimir Mysin • Dec 27, 2020

Greetings to you, our brothers and sisters, our co-workers in God’s field and partners in the Glory that will be revealed in us in the coming of the Son of God! Peace be upon you!

“… for even in Thessalonica ye sent once and again unto my need. Not that I seek for the gift; but I seek for the fruit that increaseth to your account.” (Philippians 4:16-17)

With these words the Apostle Paul expressed the deep meaning of participation in the missionary work, for those who have set their hearts to support missionaries, not only with words of approval and sympathy and with prayers, but also with material means. Paul didn’t worry about any shortages in his missionary work, for he knew that the Sovereign of the whole earth, the Lord, wouldn’t neglect the work Paul was doing. For God, nothing is impossible.

But instead Paul was glad, that through financial support, the Thessalonians took part in his missionary work. Pay attention that these fruits don’t remain the same as they were in the beginning. But the fruit of supporting missionary work increases to the benefit of those who took part in it. Thus, the Thessalonians as well as the Apostle Paul himself had fruit in his missionary field. As the true spiritual father of the Church of Thessalonica, Paul was happy not because he received help, but his joy was in believers, for they become partakers of his fruit for the Kingdom of Heaven.

On behalf of the Lord, we wholeheartedly thank you for setting your hearts to support the ministry of the Mission financially and with your prayers. Therefore, you are taking part in the work of the Mission and our missionaries in different countries. And the fruit of this work will increase in your favor.

“So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded.” (Hebrews 10:35) To Him, Who Loved and Redeemed us, Worship, Glory, Honor and Superiority will be forever! Amen!
