Life Measured by Actions

"Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on"

“For to me, to live is Christ, and the die is gain” Philippians 1:21

The staff of the Word to Russia Mission, with deep and light sadness, informs you, our dear brothers and sisters, friends and co-workers of the Mission that on January 25, at the age of 85, the Lord took from the earth our dear brother Michael Danilovich Lokteff, permanent leader of the Mission for 44 years.

“The death of His saints is precious in the sight of the Lord,” writes David. (Ps.15) The death of Michael Lokteff is precious in our eyes too, but our sadness is light, because we know how Michael lived on earth, how he loved the Lord, how he worked for Him and where he left us. “But his courageous death was remembered as a glorious example, not only by young people, but by entire nation as well” 2 Maccabeus 6:31. May the Lord comfort all those who mourn with His comfort.

We sincerely thank you, our faithful friends and co-workers in the field of God, that, all these years, you supported the hands of the ministry of Michael Danilovich, because without your help and heartfelt partic
ipation, the work that our dear brother did could not continue.

In a few months, the Mission will celebrate its "Golden Jubilee" -
50 years of service to the Lord. All members of the Mission are determined to continue serving the Mission and this will be the best memory for Michael when he knows that the service he has been doing for 44 years continues. Our dear friends do not leave your hope, which is due to the Great Reward. (Heb.10:35) Do not abandon support for the service of the Mission - this is the life work of Michael. According to our strength and beyond our strength, let us continue to help the Lord fill Heaven with the saved souls.
Time is short.

P.S. A few weeks before his death, Michael Lokteff completed work on a book that became the final chord of his life. Now the book is in the Publishing House and will be available at the celebration of the "Golden Jubilee" - 50 years of serving the Mission, which we plan to hold at the end of April or in the middle of May. We will definitely inform you about this event.
